In accordance with our policy of using plain English we have a simple list of terms and conditions. These may change over time.
1. By commissioning work from Engineering Communications Ltd. (ECL) you (the client) agree to the following terms:
2. ECL will endeavour to provide professional quality services within reasonable time frames.
3. ECL keeps the copyright of all its writing and images unless otherwise assigned. Writing commissioned and paid for by the client may be used by the client without limitation. Any material given by the client for ECL to use is assumed to belong to the client. Any dispute over ownership will be dealt with by the client.
4. ECL will take all care with the accuracy of documents but the responsibility for any error or omission rests with the client.
5. ECL will not be responsible for the failure of any web host or any other electronic device. All digital information should be backed up by the client.
6. Once a website is handed over to a client, unless otherwise arranged, it is the client's responsibility to pay the domain name registration and hosting costs direct to the supplier of there services. ECL accepts no responsibility for lost data or for loss of domain name or for any actions taken by the domain name registrar or host.
7. Quotations are valid for 30 days and do not include GST unless otherwise stated.
8. Unless otherwise negotiated, payment is due 7 days after invoice. Payment on the 20th of the month following by agreement only. Extra fees and collection expenses may be charged for late payments.
9. Any disputes will be first attempted to be resolved by mediation. Any liability will be restricted to a maximum of the amount of the original disputed invoice.
10. Both ECL and client agree to be bound by the laws of New Zealand.

Privacy Policy
Engineering Communications Limited respects your privacy and will not pass your details onto any other party without your permission. On request we will remove all details of your company from our records.
